Peter King, M.A., PCA

Hello!
I'm Peter, a Professional Counselor Associate.
As a mental health therapist, I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. I specialize in trauma work—including PTSD, complex relational and attachment trauma, and religious or spiritual trauma, as well as LGBTQ+ identity, men’s issues, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. I work with adult individuals and couples of all ages, identities, and walks of life, helping clients navigate life’s challenges with compassion and authenticity. Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I strive to meet each person with curiosity, respect, and a recognition of their unique story. I’m honored to walk alongside those seeking greater clarity, resilience, and connection. Telehealth and in-person sessions are available Monday through Thursday.
About Me.

I believe that each person’s life is unique, and I approach counseling with deep respect for your experiences, values, and beliefs. My therapeutic style draws from Existential Therapy and Attachment Theory to help us better understand who you are and how you relate to others. Since so much of our identity is shaped by the world around us, I also incorporate Ecotherapy, supporting you in strengthening your connection to both human and non-human communities.
I believe that healing is not only possible, but transformative. A strong and safe therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for meaningful change. Together, we’ll explore what it means to be you, from the experiences that have shaped you to the ways you make sense of the world today. This work can be vulnerable, but it can also be empowering, freeing, and even joyful.
My pledge is to bring my full, authentic self to our sessions and to meet your courage with my own. My intention is to offer a grounded, safe, and affirming space where all parts of you are welcome. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel seen, supported, and steadily connected to your own path toward wholeness.
